Rebuild Hope (RH) was founded in 2020, and registered as an NGO in Kenya in 2021, to rescue, restore, redeem, reclaim, renew and rebuild hope in the lives of the youth and young adults in Kenya.
Africa finds itself at the crossroads of colossal needs; poverty, famine, disease, illiteracy not to mention the AIDS pandemic and now the COVID-19 pandemic among others that demands a community of love, service and hope to a generation perishing without hope. The National Youth Policy (2006), “visualizes a society where youth have an equal opportunity as other citizens to realize their fullest potential, productively participating in economic, social, political, cultural and religious life without fear or favour.” Whilst many challenges face young people, undoubtedly the most acute is the inability to access education, employment – the lack of opportunities to earn a decent and honest living. It is this that drives the young people into crime, early marriages, suicide and drugs, and into a general state of hopelessness and despair. With several competing factors in Kenya, the future of the youth is threatened.
RH recognizes and appreciates that there are other organizations and different entities that are committed to help, however, this need is far greater and seeks to join the efforts of many to bring more light and rebuild hope especially the young generation through the provision of authentic community. RH hopes to be a community made up of a restored young generation once oppressed. This will be accomplished by providing a safe place for those that feel neglected – being present to listen and walk with those that need it (mentoring and equipping)..
Your donation can make a real difference in the lives of those we serve. With your help, we can continue to provide vital services and support to those in need. Every little bit helps, so please consider making a donation today.
