Many of the young people today are dropping out of school, taking to drugs and ending up either in prison or dead. Yes, they may be coming from poor backgrounds but for some it is because no one is present to walk with them; to guide them and that is where we come in. To be present for those that have lost hope, are on the verge of losing hope, those that have not even had a reason to hope as well as those that have it to keep it alive.
It is our hope therefore, that Hope Hubs will be a safe environment (space) where students and young adults can meet, have fellowship and community, right in their school. We hope also that Hope Hubs will provide a safe alternative to the students where they can be real without judgment or fear; a place where it is okay to be known. A place where they discuss issues of life that directly and or indirectly affect their lives and community and come up with practical holistic solutions to address them. A place where they are celebrated, their uniqueness is encouraged and the love of God is experienced.
Rebuild Hope will strive to be a beacon of hope by creating a safe community in being present. Present to listen; present to help; present to serve.
